Volunteers sought for trail building

Scarborough Land Trust is holding three different volunteer work parties every week to help build more trails at Pleasant Hill Preserve. All ages are welcome. With the completion of the first permanent trail, the trust is working on the second phase of trails that will sweep up into Beach Hill woods and out to the hidden meadow of the 135-acre preserve on Pleasant Hill Road.

The times and leaders for the three weekly work parties:

• Sunday, 10 a.m. to noon, Seth Hanson;

• Monday, 4 p.m. to dark, Toby Jacobs;

• Thursday, 9 to 11 a.m., Deb Mc- Donough.

Volunteers should meet at the kiosk. No experience is necessary. All training and tools will be provided. Bring work gloves and wear sturdy shoes. Work parties will be held weekly through the summer, until further notice.

For more information to sign up, email Toby Jacobs at tjacobs@scarboroughlandtrust.org, call 844-0114, or show up at the scheduled time.
