Andrew van Hoogenstyn (at right with white singlet), a Scarborough native now living in New Haven, Connecticut, breaks from the starting line of the 26th annual Gorham Savings Bank Maine Marathon on Sunday. About 3,200 runners from 48 states and seven countries participated in the Maine Marathon, Half Marathon and Marathon Relay. Van Hoogenstyn, 33, won the race with a time of 2 hours, 28 minutes, 57 seconds. Tracy Guerrette of St. Agatha won the women’s race in 2:43:45.
