Scarborough home to new soap opera

To the editor:

Scarborough has gone from a quiet sleepy little bedroom community to a version of Days Of Our Lives on steroids as a result of the school board and the superintendent of schools.

It started with the school board and superintendent presenting the town with a 7 percent increase in the school budget which was rejected twice by the voters. This alienated the seniors and the citizens of the town on a fix budget.

It pitted the parents of school children against the rest of the town.

Now the school board has alienated the parents with changing the start time of school followed with the resignation of the high school principal.

This begs the question, who else can the school board and superintendent disenfranchise?
